He counts 35 years of action, with the following important milestones:
Elected representative of the Department of East Macedonia - Thrace in the Technical Chamber of Greece
1982: Elected first Xanthi city councillor and was re-elected in 1986
1986 -1987: Appointed president of the General Prefectural Hospital of Xanthi. From the position of president, he campaigned vigorously and decisively contributed to the creation of new modern hospital of the county
1989: Elected Member of Parliament with the PASOK and continuously re-elected until 2009
1993-1996: He takes office of deputy Vice-President in the Greek Parliament
1996 - 2004: He successfully for eight consecutive years serves the tasks of the deputy Vice-President of the Greek Parliament. He was the essential initiator for the establishment of the Inter-Parliamentary Committee and participated in it with concrete proposals
Result of this committee was the establishment of the Council of Hellenes Abroad and its continuation with permanent bipartisan special committee of the House for Greeks Abroad, now officially called intercontinental
He traveled many times abroad for the promotion of our national issues and the strengthening of the Diaspora
He contributed greatly to the establishment of the International Parliamentary Union Members of Greek origin worldwide numbering approximately 130-170
2014 he accepted the proposal of the president of the Independent Greeks party (ANEL) to work with the party and drafted the text of the Electoral Declaration for the European elections in 2014
November 2014 the 2nd political conference of the movement of ANEL was the president of the Organizing Committee, namely CALL - POLICY RECOMMENDATION EDUCATION & CULTURE - FOREIGN & DEFENSE bear strongly his own intervention
From December 2014 was the chairman of the committee for selecting candidates on the lists of ANEL party nationwide in view of the parliamentary elections
In the national elections of 2015, was nominated an MP on the ballot of Independent Greeks
2015: the first SYRIZA-ANEL government served as Deputy Minister of Agricultural Development
